Inzwischen sind 30 Tage seit der Operation vergangen und mein Spenderbereich sieht absolut unberührt aus, obwohl 4,000 Grafts entnommen wurden. I am of African descent and have really coarse 4C type hair. My hair coils so much that I can go months without cutting my hair, and you would not be able to tell because the growth would be hidden in the coils. I love it, but I knew that finding a surgeon who could handle such hair texture and pull off a good beard transplant was easier said than done. It took me about two years to finish my research. I looked at clinics in the US, the UK, and most of Europe, and I noticed that most of them focused on men with straight hair. It was not until I started looking elsewhere that I realized that there were clinics that specifically focused on afro hair transplants. It did not take me long to book a FUE hair transplant with them because they provided me with all the details I needed to know about the surgery. Going in, I was worried about ingrown hairs because I had dealt with folliculitis before and knew just how painful and uncomfortable it could be. But 9 months on, I can say that my skin has healed smoothly with no ingrown hairs. The only challenges I had along the way were redness, but this reduced after the first month, and I was able to go back to my usual routine. My new facial hair is growing relatively fast, all things considered, and it is filling up my cheeks and jawline. It looks very natural because its angle matches the angle of my existing beard hair, and you can hardly tell which hair is native and which is new. I believe that my gaps will fully close in the next month because there is just a tiny bit left. All in all, I could not have asked for a better team.

The minute I decided to get a hair transplant, I was overwhelmed by all the choices. I was mostly in touch with Mariam, who was my coordinator, and who was with me when I was at the clinic and took me to meet the surgeon and his team. When I was not with her, I was with Ali, my driver, who would take me to my hotel and back to the clinic, and who had a really nice playlist. At the hotel, I got to meet two other guests who were also getting hair transplants at heva and we instantly bonded over our different hair problems, which was great as it helped ease my anxiety. All in all, my trip felt very effortless and the surgery was a success. If you could see the transition between the old hair and my implanted hair now at month 5, you would not believe it! All I can say is that heva makes it easy for people to get hair transplants without getting frustrated to the point of pulling out what is left of their hair. Thanks 💯👏🏻
