Mike led a one-day workshop on project management for us. Overall, it was very helpful input with many connections to my day-to-day work. The hands-on sessions, in particular, where we applied what we learned to our own projects, were especially good. The workshop topics could have been tailored a bit better to a startup—perhaps with a little more content or an exercise on leadership and a little less focus on the financial perspective, since almost all of the participants were developers.
What really sticks with me, though, are the systematic approaches to planning and managing projects more effectively.

Very, very nice people. You immediately feel at ease around them. And it’s not at all forced. They just radiate this openness and friendliness.

I learned an incredible amount. Even about myself. But you also have to be willing to engage with yourself, since all these tools need to be practiced in real life. :-)
