To avoid unnecessary additional costs, I had repeatedly entrusted an independent workshop with the problem of my car. In the end, I was standing on an ice-covered highway at half past two in the morning on Christmas Day with my wife and child and a veritable engine failure.
Even ADAC and ATU could only help me provisionally after an all-night stay.
With a heavy heart, I drove to Mercedes Kölbl, fearing that the repair costs would far exceed the value of my old Mercedes.
The owner looked at my car personally - and indeed the fault was found within an hour.
Regardless, Mr. Kölbl showed understanding for the fact that I would want to have the now identified fault repaired at "my" ancestral authorized workshop for cost reasons.
However, a call to this workshop was sobering:
In fact, the contract workshop simply could not have undercut the offer of Kölbl-Autombile GmbH.
So I decided to go with Kölbl, and in the end I took delivery of a car that was moreover BLITZBLANK CLEANED.
Conclusion: If you buy cheap, you pay twice. If I had decided in favor of Kölbl from the start, I would have been spared a lot of trouble and about 1,800 euros in additional repair costs.
