I can really warmly recommend everyone to take advantage of the MyJem offer. I am very happy to have been recommended to me by a friend who also failed her exams. I have built up far more skills with the help of MyJem than I did during my entire studies. The teaching of skills is also the difference to revision courses, which only repeat the content. After failing my first attempt, it was clear to me that I had to restructure my approach.
After a short research, I came across Olli and MyJem. The initial meeting went great and Olli has been convincing both humanly and professionally. The empathy for my situation as well as the professional criticism and feedback enticed me to start a cooperation.
It should be said, however, that Olli definitely recognizes potential and also expects you to take the process seriously. The work is not taken away from you, but you are given tools with which you can pave your way.

No sooner said than done, the collaboration began. Already the first step, the really detailed analysis of my exam papers, worked wonders. Namely, the decision to start the next exam attempt after only 4.5 months. [Disclaimer: I was incredibly motivated and focused 100% on my goal as well as used the momentum, otherwise this time span is impossible to realize and therefore not a benchmark].

When I came across MyJem, I had already attended a revision course, but did not feel sufficiently prepared for the exam, was overwhelmed with the amount of material and did not even dare to take the first attempt. Due to my fear of the exam, I was paralyzed and completely blocked in learning.

From the very beginning Olli and his team supported me not only professionally but also mentally. By working out and linking mind maps I got an overview of the "big picture".
Little by little I was able to process the learning material, repeat it, got a deeper and deeper understanding and succeeded in making connections. I learned to apply my knowledge detached from known constellations to unknown things and came across "Aha-moments", which I was not familiar with in my previous studies. The concept of 1:1 coaching, (live) workshops and mind maps were the key to success for me. Finally I got out of the "hamster wheel"; 24/7 learning and making no real progress - this time had come to an end.

Olli always had an open ear for questions, was virtually "available at any time"; and helped me find individual solutions when I had difficulties. Through the cooperation with MyJem I have not only grown legally, but also personally, I have found faith and trust in myself again. Olli and his team have contributed significantly to the fact that I have now successfully passed my first state law exam in the so-called free shot. I cannot say THANK YOU often enough.

I was now able to successfully complete my state exam - with all its ups and downs - by working with MyJem and Oliver. I am very grateful to MyJem for picking me up after the setback of not passing and they showed me how to work on myself, build safe working methods to learn the material for the exam in a sustainable and effective way, as well as organization, time management and thereby mental power. All this makes the preparation for the legal exam "easier" and more effective. Oliver and his team really know what is important. The young and dynamic team is always at your side and you really feel very supported and "heard". You have the feeling that you are understood. MyJem is not about "chewing the material and beating it up as much as possible to memorize it", but about really understanding the legal way of working and methods, as well as acquiring skills in the long term. And that is exactly what the exam is about.
I think I will be able to use these skills later in my working life - especially to have a good structure and organization.
So I can recommend MyJem to everyone who doesn't know what to do after failing the exam and who wants to radically change their way of learning - but in such a way that it becomes really effective - and that doesn't mean learning 12 hours a day in the library - quite the opposite - finally understanding and applying.
But it is best to work with MyJem in an earlier semester and acquire the skills and learning methods - I think then you can really achieve an extremely successful exam and thus also acquire good skills for the further career path.
I would do it again and can highly recommend MyJem.

If you are looking for a coach and a team that leads you through the exam preparation in a serious way, that is fun - of course within the limits of the state exam preparation ;) - as well as a sense of belonging and, last but not least, professional competence, will find what they are looking for here.

The feeling of being overwhelmed by the amount of material and the complexity of the exam preparation, of not necessarily being supported by the university and of being frightened by commercial revision services should be quite common.
I was therefore impressed by the way Oli and his team prepared the content, made connections between the areas of law and thus put together an amazingly handy overall package that made exam preparation seem possible in just seven months.

This was made possible not least by conveying an understanding of how the exams are structured and how the correctors "tick".

It thus became less a fight against the JPA and more a kind of game "against" it.
In the course, we learned what is important, how the content is typically tested, and how to formulate it profitably.

If now the thought arises "I know nevertheless like examinations are structured, finally I wrote already some"- is justified, but nevertheless I remain with it, I was impressed. The depth of the networking and the system understanding, which can be built up, is a clearly different one than by "Trial-and-Error", as it is so often the case by the bare examinations write - and hope for a good correction.

The program is tight.

But that is exactly what I had missed. It gives you a structure that not only gives you confidence and progress, but also allows you to do it in earnest.
The feeling of treading water was minimized - at least for me - and I always knew where I stood and what was coming up in the next few days.

I deliberately say "what the next few days will be" because this is also a part of the course, mental training, which should not be underestimated.

You learn to handle the pressure better, to focus on the right things and to see fear factors that may lie in the future not as such, but as a goal on whose path you are.

Lastly, you also have the opportunity to become part of a team of other students, which in my course, even away from MyJEM, led to friendships, but most importantly, mutual support until the exam.

Of course, no guarantee can be given, but Oli and his team have brought my fellow participants solidly through the exam!

I like the goal-focused, action-based and "entrepreneurial" approach to implementing one's own goals - and the mindset behind it. We have designed action strategies with a focus on the essentials and optimized the respective work steps. Basically, it is about constantly improving oneself and one's own routines and expanding them independently.

Some decisions in life are more important than others. And the decision to sign up for MyJEM and to have Oli as my experienced guide through the law jungle was certainly one of the most important decisions I have made so far.

I had already spent some time preparing for the first exam on my own. That was very time-consuming, but I still had the feeling that I was stuck in a hamster wheel every day, getting lost in the legal minutiae and not seeing the big picture.

This is exactly where Oli came in. Right from our first personal meeting, I had the impression that I was getting real help. And tailored exactly to me and in a very benevolent way (something you will rarely experience in a normal ref). First, we determined my current status together and then analyzed which path towards the exam was the most effective for me, but also the most feasible in terms of stress.
Then we tackled it together piece by piece. And I think that is also the biggest unique selling point of Oli and MyJEM. On the one hand, you are taken by the hand and given the feeling that you will never have to deal with the situation completely alone. On the other hand, you will also be given valuable tools and working methods that will enable you to master more and more of the challenges on your own responsibility and with less stress than before. You will not only grow in terms of content, but above all personally.
Now, after passing my exams and before starting my traineeship, I can say that I now use some of the working methods for everyday tasks and will also benefit greatly from them during my traineeship.

The best "professional" decision I could have made.

After I received the results of my first attempt and knew I had to go through it again, I wasn't sure if and when I would tackle it. Motivation was gone and self-confidence was at its lowest point. So when I read about My Jem and Oli, I thought it was worth a try. What could I lose! And I haven't regretted it for a second since.
Not only do Oli and his team have excellent technical knowledge, but they know how to communicate it and exactly what is important. At the Rep I often didn't ask questions for fear of saying something stupid, that was completely different here. No matter how simple the answer was and how often you ask the same question, Oli and his team take the time and answer it. Oli showed me my strengths and taught me how to use them properly.
For me, however, the most important thing was to have someone by my side who knows how I feel and what fears I had. Oli was able to take away these fears, he was one of the main reasons that I was able to master this challenging time and went into the final attempt with a completely different feeling.

Super team, super support, my salvation

When I came across MyJem, I had just found out that I had failed - a bitter blow, of course, and my motivation was accordingly non-existent. But it was clear to me that I had to make a change. I love law and there was no alternative for me but to get my act together and do something. I then made an appointment and spoke with Oli on the same day. I immediately had the feeling that I was in good hands. I explained my situation and my attitude to him and he immediately came up with a few ideas that I could use to change my current situation. One thing was clear to me after the conversation: If I write exams again, then with MyJem at my side.

After we had looked at my exams in detail and found out what the problem was, we immediately started to develop my personal master plan. Oli took a lot of time for this and was always at my side, even if there was a down. It was very difficult for me to recognize my mistakes, but with his help I was able to work on myself and received solution-oriented instructions and assistance. This is also the decisive difference to commercial repetitors: You feel supported and, above all, personally understood. Normally you are just one of many, but with MyJem I was part of the team!

I could ask questions at any time, I was always listened to and even if it was the weekend and I got like most exam candidates again panic before the exam, I was helped immediately. For me, choosing to train individually with Oliver was the best decision I could have made.

When I first spoke with Oliver, I was about to take my final exam attempt. Now, over a year later, I have passed the 1st state exam and am more than happy with the result.

Oliver is not only a very likeable and great person, he is an excellent lawyer who can make you understand the subject matter in a completely different way (even if you have attended other reps before). I have been able to change and improve my legal approach through Oliver and his training. From the beginning, solving exams was the full focus of our training and through the systematic approach Oliver taught me, not only did my grades improve over time, but it was also fun.
