Our guests were very satisfied and were still talking about the presentation in the evening.
A few words about the lecture:
Our guests had a workshop the whole day and afterwards the impulse lecture by Mark T. Hofmann. The motivation after such a long day is what it is. However, the rhetoric, the gestures and the involvement of the audience were unique. Running in the background was a PowerPoint presentation as one should be. Little to no information and few to no changes between slides --> Ergo the audience had internalized the slide in a few seconds and could thus fully devote themselves to what was said. The change between pointing to the slide and standing in the picture again to gain attention is perfectly chosen.
We have all not yet seen a speaker in this manner and if so then too rarely. It is definitely, due to the topic already, not a normal lecture. But the style of the lecture is unique and lightens the mood. All the guests were fully on the topic. No one was bored. The topic is also highly interesting and thought-provoking.
Questions were answered in the best possible way.
All in all, we can only recommend the lecture to others and also recommend to plan some time after the lecture to enable the guests to talk to each other.
