I am very happy and grateful that I signed up with Restart after my long-term employment ended. The weekly sessions with my guide, as well as the individual coaching sessions, were very helpful and valuable in processing my experiences, reorienting myself, and searching for a new job. I especially liked the concept of the personal guide, with whom you can check in weekly—just having someone there makes a huge difference. My guide, Nathalie, was incredibly friendly.

Overall, the service is very customer-focused: they actively and personally followed up—for example, to check if a voucher had worked for me after it apparently hadn’t worked for everyone. You really notice this attention to detail.

I think “restart career” really taps into the spirit of the times right now. With so many layoffs happening at the moment, it’s a wonderful opportunity to have someone by your side during this phase of change and upheaval. I highly recommend it!

Restart Carrer’s overall package is just right! The selection of coaches is extensive and highly qualified. I am happy to recommend Restart Career with complete confidence. What particularly impressed me at the outset was the option to combine traditional outplacement with targeted professional development as an integrated component. In my view, this approach is a truly unique selling point. And even though my requests were a bit unusual—making the process with the training provider a bit tricky—Restart Career made everything possible and acted 100% solution-oriented. Plus, the platform is packed with valuable content for every phase of such a major life change. My highlight throughout the program was the personal connections—both during the coffee meetups (a huge thank you to Hanna Ruddies) and with my guide, Karen Julia Korfmacher, who supported me patiently, empathetically, and constructively throughout the entire process.

It’s all just AI, really. It probably works with ChatGPT too. I uploaded my resume, got a good evaluation, but then the review of the new resume didn’t work. The job agent refers to my resume and gives me suggestions for degree programs and job offers as an industrial mechanic. But I’m a design engineer. Job report? I have a background in mechanical engineering and get a job report from the construction industry. Personal data could be verified more thoroughly. The list of companies with potential job openings is limited to nationwide results—not based on my location. I live on the border between Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia. If you don’t want to give up your home right away, thousands of companies in both states are very far away. In general, in my opinion, there’s no personal interest in this platform—it’s more like just a machine. For some people, it will probably be enough.

A great coach...and lots of opportunities

I really appreciated knowing that I wasn't alone and that I received guidance and encouragement in a variety of ways, all tailored to my individual needs

I was really happy with my coach. She was very understanding, kept me motivated, and gave me tips on how to improve. And what mattered most to me: she always helped take the pressure off that I was putting on myself. I highly recommend her.

The coaching was cut short; it would have been good because I still needed at least 4 or 5 more sessions.
Unfortunately, it was simply stopped, and although I asked for additional sessions, I didn’t receive a response!
Unfortunately, this has negatively impacted my rating.

Do it for yourself; you'll find your way

The regular sessions with my personal coach served as an important source of support during my career transition. Especially at the beginning, when the situation was still unfamiliar to me, these meetings provided me with direction and structure. I found the sessions to be very respectful and conducted on an equal footing, and I came away with many helpful tips and new perspectives. I am very grateful for that.

I wanted to reach for the sky and I grasped the stars. At the beginning of my journey with Restart Career, my goals were ambitious. With Restart at my side, it was easy to achieve this goal of changing careers and moving in a completely different direction. What's more, thanks to psychological support, groundbreaking guidance, and seminars that helped me develop personally, I now have a job that I could never have imagined. Not because it was abstract, but because it seemed unattainable. My applications were noticed, my interviews were successful. I can absolutely recommend Restart to everyone. Take all the seminars and also the cafes. Make use of the experts, who are really great, and accept any help you can get—it's worth it!
