The Data Vault 2.0 Boot Camp is a 3-day introductory and intermediate class that takes you through the why, what, and how of Data Vault 2.0. It covers the business justifications and technical descriptions of all pillars of Data Vault 2.0: the... architecture, implementation, methodology, and modeling components. The course provides ETL design paradigms, working templates (both conceptual and SQL) and best practices for successful Data Vault 2.0 implementation.
I really enjoyed the bootcamp, it covers a broad range of modelling topics, has a very useful group exercise, provides plenty of templates to get started and last, but not least, the trainer can answer questions beyond the scope of this training. Definitely recommended.
Such experienced trainer and strong driven thoughts, also focused on the topics, well prepared materials and examples shown on the screen. one thing to improve would be to send out training materials much earlier to avoid postage delays.
Evaluation does not refer to DV2 as a concept
Found the following aspects problematic
-Slides or handout insufficient. Is hardly interpretable without accompanying explanation by trainer which makes the follow-up and preparation more difficult.
-The thematic structure was suboptimal in my opinion (sometimes it was hard to keep up).
-> Trainer spoke too fast for my taste
-> Chao with the documents (some did not receive a book, with others format errors, ....)
For a training >2000€ I think it should be even better.
Very good trainer with practical experience. The training was well structured. The trainer responded very well to the questions. The location and catering were also great. It was a great training. Thank you very much.
Having someone who participated in writing the book as a training coach gives for me a very professional impression being felt as taught by someone who really knows what he is talking about.
The course was extremely useful, relevant and rich in information. Micheal is extremely knowledgable. It was a pleasure to learn from someone so enthusiastic and technically adapt in the Data Vault 2.0 methodology.
The course material is very well thought out and it is presented in a very clear and open way. Every question that is asked is responded to with the same enthusiasm and delivers far more than the necessary amount of detail that you would expect.
Anybody looking to start a new data warehouse, esp. with Data Vault methodology, needs to go through a course and what's better than the experts themselves. I recommend Scalefree for anybody and everybody looking for the same.
Excellent class in general - Michael surely knows his stuff!
Simply, come and do it. DV2 provides a structured way forward into the 21st century for enterprise level data warehouses that should not be overlooked. Training is excellent and the people involved have a passion that can only rub off on you.
