SpeakEasy is a well structured organized and supportive environment. I am not ashamed recommending to anyone. Teachers take you through immersive and practical learning to an extent students starting gaining confidence in public space as well as feeling the sense of community. I arrived in Germany in July 2025, but i confess i used to wear my earphones, listen to music while in public spaces as an act to avoiding anyone to talk to me. Now i can testify i no longer use my earphones but sit or walk listening to the conversations from people around me.. and yes i now can understand and also assit with giving directions, shoping, asking questions and having conversations. If one is serious and has a target achievement, SpeakEasy will definitely meet you at your point of need and surely you will make new friends😀

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the A2 German course and especially for our teacher, Ester. She has an excellent teaching methodology and truly outstanding skills. Her classes are always well-structured, engaging, and very effective. She creates a motivating learning environment where everyone feels encouraged to participate and improve.

Ester’s ability to explain complex grammar in a simple, relatable way and her patience with every student make the learning process enjoyable and productive. Thanks to her guidance, I feel much more confident in my German skills now.

I highly recommend both Ester and the institute to anyone looking to learn German in a supportive and high-quality setting.

I took B1 with Doris. She is the best, and I highly recommend taking German classes with her at Speakeasy. Not only is she very kind and has (lots!) of patience, but she also takes a lot of care to share commonly used phrases, expand the vocabulary beyond the basics, and generally help you speak and interact. The latter is especially important, as you should not take for granted how crucial it is to learn and how difficult it is to find good opportunities to practice, especially in Berlin. I'll be taking B2 and above with her as soon as my situation permits.

I had the B1 telc exam at Speakeasy and all the process went very smoothly and easily. Everyone was very helpful and also the quality of audio during the exam was very good, during all the exam it was information about the time left, waiting premises, etc. Totally recommend

We had lessons with 3 different teachers during the A1.1 course.
Changing teachers is of course understandable in cases of necessity, but naturally the methods were different in each. In general, it is not something that can be preferred when learning a new language.
I hope that there will be no teacher change in the A1.2 course.
Similarly, it would be much more useful to explain grammar rules, sentences, word meanings and exercise purposes in English. Translating from many languages ​​into German does not give the right result.
It is much more important to learn exactly what it means in German. I think it takes too much time to do breakout sessions without fully understanding what to do. It would be much more useful to do the work with all participants as much as possible; to check pronunciations and to understand unknown words and sentence structures.

I recently completed a German course with Mohammed, and I couldn't be happier with my experience! Mohammed is an exceptional teacher who has a unique ability to make learning both engaging and effective. His lessons are well-structured and tailored to meet the needs of each student.

What I appreciated most was his patience and dedication. He always encouraged questions and fostered a supportive environment where I felt comfortable practicing my speaking skills. The materials he provided were not only informative but also fun, making the learning process enjoyable.

The classes, location, services and atmosphere is great. I had a good experience with my teacher Ela. Just one thing 2 times a week for evening courses is way too less to get the practice needed. Specially compared to intensive courses. Usually people who come for evening classes are full time employees or students. Either there should be an option for evening intensive that is 2 hours every weekday at 18.00 or the regular evening classes should be atleast 3 days a week instead of 2. Hope you introduce better options for evening courses as that is something so many people need but it's not easily available.

Our lecturer Ms. Mariam Shahrudi, keeps pushing us to speak and practice the language whilst encouraging us to write as well. The whole class is in German so with time the words make a lot more sense when you hear it elsewhere. The homework is a great source for the self-study and practice we need before joining in the next session with a more improved knowledge base of the language. I greatly appreciate the Speakeasy team and my lecturer and would hope to continue learning from her all the way as she understands the students very well.
