The travel agency's services were fine. As I knew what I wanted, they weren't anything special - except for the availability of the starting places for London.

Hotel had a great location but numerous shortcomings. Poor cleanliness, a room cleaning "forgotten", breakfast was an imposition after a long wait and also not advantageous for athletes. At dinner "Bowl with salmon" the salmon was forgotten.

Having to be driven to the site a good 4 hours before your own start was also not good in the temperatures, especially as thousands of people arrived later/after us. So it could have been done differently and, if necessary, by a guided subway tour.

In New York there were also problems with the hotel (elevator disaster) - I wish we had made a more conscientious choice.

The trip to the London Marathon 2024 was well organized throughout. The hotel had a good location and attractive rooms that were very clean. There was an informative city tour and a very good talk before the marathon day. I hope to be able to make my next trip to the Tokyo Marathon with Universal Reisen soon if I get one of the coveted tickets. Many thanks also for the friendly support on site.

Thank you for your friendly and consistently competent manner - that's how it should be. :-) The city tour was ok, but we would have appreciated some more general information about the city (not historical facts), for example income, distribution of ethnic groups, how coexistence works, metro network, etc. What we did NOT like at all was Mr. Wessinhage's partly self-congratulatory manner during the presentation (and that's exactly what it was). His merit in all honors... but to dismiss those who ask questions ("I just explained that"; but we are not in NY... etc.) - no, that is simply no longer in keeping with the times (it never has been). That you should "have fun and not forget to drink".... Truisms. A few anecdotes about the London Marathon would have been nicer (composition, idea of the charity, crazy stories etc.). One thing was clear to us: Mr. Wessinghage enjoyed the limelight - and himself. Too bad, it was rather embarrassing. But as organizers, they can do little about that. Therefore: thank you! :-)

Thanks to the good advice and support from Universal Reisen in Lüneburg, I achieved my big goal of becoming a 6-star finisher in the ABBOTT WMM. Of course, you have to run every marathon yourself, but if your participation fails because of the time limit or the lottery pot, it's good to know that you can get professional support here. The staff can't do magic, but they respond very well to individual requests and do their best.
