Our experience with ordering a dining table with "8-12 weeks delivery time":
When after 12 weeks still no delivery and no contact on the part of the dealer, I tried to contact. Only after five calls on our part ("colleague not there" / "can't get into the system right now" / "can't look right now" / "call back tomorrow") did we get an answer: "The original manufacturer no longer exists, but a replacement has been found." New delivery date is unclear, "probably this year".
For self-protection, we changed the payment method in the store from cash in advance to cash on delivery. (Yes, we wanted to see if the store even existed. We were told that the table could be delivered in 5 weeks if there were no additional logistical problems). The money was refunded only after another call and written request 3 weeks after changing the payment method. After a total of 18 weeks - one business day after the written request for refund of the advance payment - the order was canceled without giving any reason. Only upon request, we were tersely informed that the table could not be produced at the moment. After 12 + 6 weeks of waiting!
A communication on the part of the dealer did not take place and had to be actively and repeatedly demanded.
I can only vehemently advise other customers against ordering online.
Absolutely poor communication, unserious processing and unreliable statements.
