In September we had a wonderful 8-day trip from Zermatt to St. Moritz.
We won't describe the chaotic train journeys in Germany any further.
First of all, thanks to the train professionals for the organization and to Mr. Akin for his detailed explanations and tips.
We had a nice room with a great view of the Matterhorn at the Hotel Holiday in Zermatt, with its friendly staff. We had dinner in the highly recommended Walliserstuben. We always had a nice chat with the owners, who were happy to accommodate our wishes and were very friendly and accommodating.
Thanks to the great weather, we were able to fully enjoy our own activities or boat and train trips.
In St. Moritz, we were given a freshly renovated room at the Hotel Europa, which also had friendly staff. It didn't have any old furniture as described in other posts. However, we would only give the hotel 3.5 stars.
It was a great trip. The 1st class Joker is also recommended.
The train rides on the Glacier and Bernina Express are impressive and fascinating.
