When I began doing my research about fue hair transplant surgery in Turkey, I got in touch with about 9-10 different hair transplant clinics and doctors to see the differences and what they offered. My buddy had fue hair transplant previously been to turkey to have a fue hair transplant, so I was referred to by him. Other clinics answered straight away, having sent them my head photos. They all sent me an evaluation and how many grafts I needed to full coverage, here are the packages and short (yes-no), not satisfying replies. But when I contacted Diamond Hair Clinic, they were so pleasant, reliable to deal with them. I waited two days for a full report from Dr Mehmet Demircioglu that was in-depth, unlike other clinics. I wanted to proceed with this guys hence this professionalism.

When I arrived in Istanbul, I was not wholly sure what should I expect.
I got off the plane, and I contacted with driver by WhatsApp (One day ago, they shared with me driver number, name, photo, car photo). And I walked to the meet point area, the driver was already there and he was waiting for me and took me to the hotel. Which I have to say hotel was very comfortable and five star . The driver picked me up on time in the morning and took me approximately 30-35 minutes down the road to the clinic. I was very nervous on the operation day, but before the operation starting, I had a consultation with Dr.Mehmet, and I asked all the questions to him. Dr Mehmet answered with patiently and confidently. I felt more comfortable after this consultation, and then surgery started. During the whole operation process, Dr Demircioglu spoke me through everything throughout the procedure. The surgery itself took around 11 hours (5200 grafts). The team and doctor were incredibly professional, and the procedure went so smoothly. They used painless local anaesthesia device, but I should admit that I felt a little bit painful, but it was not unbearable. Dr Mehmet made my incisions and team made extraction and implantation stages. After the operation, Dr Mehmet gave me after operation medications (antibiotic, painkiller) and instructions, explained which points I have to be careful after the procedure. It was a long and tiring day, but still, Dr Demircioglu was there.

I have to say operation day I was so nervous and sceptical about the entire thing, but I have never dealt with a clinic so thorough and expert. I know there must be other respectable clinics out there, but I would recommend Diamond Hair Clinic and Dr Mehmet Demircioglu to anyone looking to have a fue hair transplant. It’s been nearly two months since my surgery, and things seem to be healing well. I would say to anyone looking to get a hair transplant, of course, do your own investigation, take your time, and I guarantee you if you enquire into Diamond Hair Clinic you will be so satisfied with what you get from these guys.

I recently underwent a hair transplant at Diamond Hair Clinic in Istanbul with Dr. Demircioglu, and overall, it was a solid experience.

I’d recommend it and would do the procedure over again with them. As background, I’m a 31-year-old male based in New York City, USA.

I wanted to get a hair transplant and found Dr. Demircioglu through a deep research prompt with Grok AI to identify some of the best boutique hair transplant providers, as I valued expertise and individual attention over cost.

I reached out in April or May of 2025 and was able to schedule my procedure for August 16, 2025 for 4,500 grafts.

I arrived two days early with my fiancée, and we did some sightseeing. The hotel messed up my reservation and thought I was supposed to leave a day before I actually was, but Dr. Demircioglu’s office assistant took care of everything, so it wasn’t a big deal. Anyway, I was pretty nervous about the procedure, and it really hit me on the day of.

A comfy Maybach van picked me up from my hotel for the early morning appointment around 7 a.m. Dr. Demircioglu met me at the beginning, even though the office was empty. He mentioned that he shares medical office space with another clinic that mainly serves locals, whereas his practice focuses mostly on international patients from the USA, UK, Canada, and elsewhere.

When we first met, he was thorough, discussing my expectations, comparing old hairline photos, and explaining how his boutique practice stands out from hair mills. He had my photos up on his laptop and really spent time with me to learn about how I came to lose my hair and what I ultimately wanted.
At that point, I paid 6,700 euros and signed a waiver and consent form indicating that I knew the risks of the procedure, the expected recovery timeline, and that I would go under anesthesia.

One thing is, I did not receive a receipt, which I thought was odd, but reading between the lines, he’s a cash-only business with a specialized, nimble team. He’s cutting out some of the larger overhead in terms of marketing and fancy space that other hair clinics have.

I think he’s fairly expensive relative to other clinics, but I found his attentiveness during and after the surgery to be completely worth it.

Back to the initial consultation: He drew a natural, slightly asymmetrical hairline, which I trusted after some initial surprise. He mentioned that most hairlines aren’t straight lines and it’s very easy to spot a transplant by how unnaturally straight the hairline is, which made sense to me. He asked if I had any thoughts after his initial drawing, and I said I trusted him on his design.

The day took about eleven hours total, with the procedure itself lasting around seven hours. It started with painful anesthesia, honestly, the worst part, like sharp thumbtacks for a few minutes before the anesthesia kicked in. After that, I felt nothing, thanks to the IV and skilled team. His two nurses, who work with him consistently, handled extractions and implants smoothly, though their English was limited and they spoke in Turkish the whole time. Once the first part of the procedure was done, I pulled the blindfold off and noticed a decent amount of blood on the ground and on the nurses, which kind of sketched me out. I then asked Dr. Demircioglu if things went okay. He said yes, I was doing great, and he was surprised by how good the donor area looked, he was positive overall. This eased me a bit.

After that, I had Domino’s pizza and orange juice for lunch before the second part of the surgery.
The second part of the three-part procedure was when Dr. Demircioglu did the incisions himself, taking care to get it right. He had headphones in and went to work after another round of about 10 minutes of painful anesthesia. I had headphones in for this part, too, and had another IV, I think, I was half relaxed, half asleep. This took two hours.

The third part was the assistants putting the grafts in, and this took three hours. No pain; it just felt like it took forever.

Post-procedure, he spent nearly two hours explaining aftercare: when to use what products, what I can and cannot do, and a general framework for recovery. I had daily check-ins with him for the first 10 days to make sure everything was going smoothly and not getting infected.

Recovery was tough the first 10 days, sleeping was hard. I think I stopped wearing the neck pillow after night 7 or 8 because I started to get a twinge in my neck, so I slept sideways on the bed with no pillow and had the top of my head off the side. I’m a heavy sleeper, so I wasn’t worried about rolling into the top of the headboard.

I’m about a month out from my procedure now, and I’d say over half of the transplanted hair has fallen out, but that’s to be expected.

I made sure to use cream daily and the moisturizing foam religiously, keeping it in as much as possible during the two weeks after surgery. I still use the moisturizing Bepanthen and graft cream daily.

Overall, at this stage, I’d recommend Diamond Hair Clinic for anyone seeking a personalized transplant experience. I’ve followed all of Dr. Demircioglu’s instructions thus far, and it appears I’m on a strong path toward a successful transplant. Time will tell, but so far, so good.

I rarely take the time to write reviews but felt an obligation in this case. It has been two months since my hair transplant procedure in Istanbul.

I had trepidations before going to Turkey for this surgery. Since I was unable to afford the outrageous prices charged here in the US, I explored having it done abroad, especially in the hair transplant capital, Istanbul.

I was worried about doing it so far away where it wouldn’t be easy to do follow up if something went wrong and the standards might not be as high as the US?

After a lot of research, I concluded that I would trust the doctors in Istanbul by paying a little more than the Istanbul average and go to the best surgeon I could find there.

That turned out to be a very wise choice. I may have found a doctor there who exceeds even the very best HT surgeons in the US. I’ve had a terrific experience so far with Dr. Demircioglu and Diamond Hair Clinic.

Beginning with his detailed, highly informative website explaining the difference between having the procedure done at a “hair mill,” a cheap factory-like procedure as opposed to having it done by a highly skilled top surgeon who specializes strictly in hair transplants.

Dr. Demircioglu has performed over a thousand hair transplants. He has a strict limit of performing just one procedure a day and only ten procedures a month. He truly cares about each patient.

Months leading up to the procedure I had very detailed, always prompt correspondence over a week or two with the doctor’s liaison, Mahmood, who patiently answered every one of my numerous questions and concerns about the procedure on What’s App. We exchanged photos from each stage of my hair loss along with examples of other successful procedures I was hoping for. He helped me zero in on what I wanted and what I could expect along with sharing our conversations with Dr. Demircioglu for his expert analysis.

By the time I arrived in Turkey for my hair transplant, I felt I knew them already. The hotel and transportation in Istanbul was first class and comfortable. The hotel regularly caters to hair transplant patients, so I felt relaxed walking around the hotel in the days following my HT.

Everything went smoothly the day of my procedure. Perhaps the best part was the meticulous pre-op meeting I had with Dr. Demircioglu going over exactly what he was going to do and precisely how to design my new hairline and why. We spent well over an hour on this meeting because this was going to determine the success of my future look. We decided on a very natural hairline, which required 4500 grafts to be relocated from the back to the front and middle of the top of my head since I was at a Norwood V stage. My crown would have to be done at a later time, perhaps two years from now.

I arrived for the procedure at about 8:00am that morning and left close to 7:00pm, almost 11 hours later. The doctor also spent time with me after my surgery carefully going over what my post-op procedures needed to be, how to sleep, how to wear the pillow he provided, medicines and shampoos, vitamins, etc (also provided).

He wanted to make sure I would do everything right to maximize my outcome and success. His follow-up over the next ten days was outstanding.

After my first wash two days later at his office, I sent him five photos (every angle) every day for the next ten days for his analysis to make sure everything was healing properly.

I will be sending him updates every month throughout this year as well. He truly cares about his patients outcomes.

As I said earlier, I don’t think I could have received a better, more precise HT for five times the price in the United States. If I later have my crown done, I will definitely return to Dr. Demircioglu.

I went through a fairly extensive intake with them over Whattsapp in December of 2024. I was told Mr. Mehmet Demircioglu would provide me a customized surgical plan in 1-2 weeks. I have not received anything since despite sending all the required documentation. Ive reached out to them twice since then - once January 15th and again February 9th to inquire about the status of my procedure and was told I could expect something within a few days. Its now almost 3 months later and I have not been provided with a surgical plan or even a quote.

It’s been over a year now since having my hair transplant surgery performed by Diamond Hair Clinic and looking back now at all of those years spent worrying about losing my hair, mine is one of thousands upon thousands success stories out there.

Even after the procedure when I arrived back home, I had many questions with the process all of which were answered promptly. Exceptional value and excellent experience. Would recommend anyone having any thoughts to go ahead and book with Dr. Mehmet! You will not be disappointed.

So my dad and I came all the way from the US after researching and seeing such great reviews about Dr. Mehmet Demircioglu. There was extensive research done as there have been so many cases of bad results when it comes to hair transplants. After finding such an intelligent doctor, we were beyond impressed and had such a smooth procedure. The communication with the staff prior to coming was awesome as well as the conversations with Dr. Mehmet himself. All of our questions were answered and my dad felt comfortable through the entire process. There was no sense of being rushed as Dr. Mehmet made sure that he worked his best and truly made dad happy with his results.

I'm from the US and had a hair transplant procedure with Dr. Mehmet and team on Dec 19th, 2021. For several years I had been researching hair transplant procedures globally. I travel internationally for work and landed on Turkey due to volume (a lot of hair transplant is an art so volume matters in my opinion), price and quality. The overall experience was easy going and not stressful. I left the US on Thursday and arrived in Istanbul on Friday, the car service waiting to pick me up at the airport. Saturday was my free day where I adjusted to the jet leg (highly recommend) and walked around the city. Sunday morning a car picked me up at the hotel and I spent the next twelve hours with Dr. Mehmet and his assistants. They took their time. Answered all of my questions and were very open in the discussion about hairline, recovery, care, etc.

Overall the entire process was very smooth. A little post procedure pain (headache due to healing), zero itching (I'm on day 7 post procedure).

My three recommendations:
-bring wax ear plugs: the hotel is noisy at night + jet leg makes it very hard to sleep pre/post
-bring headphones during the procedure (I listed to two audiobooks)
-arrive a day early to help with jet leg and to see the city

When you have decided to get a hair transplant there is the most important thing to think about next which is where to go and who to perform the operation. As Turkey is most popular in the world if going there then there is lots of choice. I did my research and messaged a few clinics the difference with Dimond hair clinic was from the start they said it as it is telling me my hair was was weak all over and needed maximum grafts. Sent me lots of pictures showing me there work before and after and the surgeon Dr Mehmet who does all the operations personally himself this was the main reason I went here. He only performs one surgery a day its not a get as many in and out practice like I found most place over there are. On the day of the operation Dr Mehmet designed my hairline and talked me through everything he didn’t sugar coat anything straight talking from the start told me the quality of my donor hair and what he could take out and advised me what will the be best outcome with what donor hair I had. This is very important as everyone is different and what ideas you have might not be realistic, some places over here tell you what you want to hear just to get your custom, here was the opposite which I like and why I came here. First class service from a lovely surgeon and clinic looking forward to my results in the coming months .

I came from USA. From making contract with Diamond hair clinic, everything was arranged regarding transfers to and from the airport to the hotel and to the clinic and so on.

I only had to send head shots from all around my head including the top.
The communication between myself and Mahamud been great, from the moment i arrived in Istanbul I was met by the driver and taken to hotel. Hotel was OK …

If you can arrive 2 days prior to the op I recommend so that you can see Istanbul. You won’t be in any way fit to do so after the op. As you will just want to be comfortable and get home.

The day of the procedure I was picked up from the hotel
Emir arrived right on time, took me to the clinic and that's where I met Dr. Mehmet. Dr. Mehmet spoke English fluently and spent a good amount of time explaining the different steps in the procedure.
First they take a blood sample from your arm.,,Then he will ask you for some background information and also if you have a picture of yourself
He then asked me to raise my eyebrows and he began to draw my new hairline and again to relax and he continued it.

Once that is done you are sent for payment and then to a room where they take headshots

The moment has arrived. There are usually 2 technicians (Gamze and Sehamuz) in the room. You undress your top area and wear a hospital gown. (Wear button or zip top) you are giving a relaxant and then it s time for the local anesthesia and extraction. For this you later flat on your stomach.

The local anesthesia needles enters the back of your head and sides around 30 plus times to numb the donor area. Everyone’s pain threshold is different but I just clenched my fist every time it happened and it got me through. Think of the end result. You got this far. Once numb you don’t feel a thing. The staff are very reassuring and you get 100% care.
After the extraction they provide you some lunch. You can bring some of your own food incase if you don’t like it. Make sure you have your breakfast prior to the op, most important.

Then it’s time for the insertions. I had 5000 grafts, the operation went well and I am happy and confident with how it now and will look in the future.


After the procedure you are all bandaged up on the donor area. You are giving a pack of medications / shampoo and foam and instructions. You are transferred back to your hotel

The medications don’t start until after breakfast the next day, except for pain relief and sleeping aid. You have to sleep 45 degree angle and it’s not comfortable but you will manage to get some sleep broken if even. My experience I had a headache and could feel throbbing but this is normal. Once I started the meds after breakfast I felt better.
Again you got this far and the only way is up!

Then I was brought back to the clinic for my first wash. The bandage is removed and the area examined. You are then given aloe Vera gel on your donor area and a headband is placed on your head for 48hrs. This is to stop swelling going down to your face.

More photos are taken like the previous day. You should send pictures every day of recovery so that they can see your progress.

I would defiantly recommend Diamond hair clinic to anyone who is nervous or in doubt about coming to Turkey for a transplant.
In the end i just want to say i am hoping for the best result and am sure i will get it. But so far i am very happy with my experience with Dr. Mehmet and Diamond hair clinic, its worth every single penny.

I am 33 years old and have been struggling with hair loss for some time. My Hair transplant journey started when, after weeks of googling, I randomly entered my email and phone number into some website that promised to get back to me with more information. I no longer recall what site that was, but that's also not important anymore. What is of interest however, is that within a week I had been written to on whatsapp by several Clinics offering me a free consultation (i.e. an estimate regarding price and the number of grafts they were willing to harvest). Well, beyond a customer service that I found to be generally very informative and available, the key deciding factor for me was the knowledge that I would be given my own day at the clinic and receive the doctor's full attention that day. The price I was quoted was also slightly higher perhaps than other clinics had given, but then again so was the number of grafts and I knew it would be worth it if I could feel "well taken care of" and not just one of many client to be rushed through the clinic like on a factory belt. And I cannot say that I regret it!
Leading up to the surgery, everything went smoothly as promised: the driver was at the airport, the hotel check-in went according to plan and again I was picked up by a driver on the morning before the treatment. So far, so good.
Arriving at the clinic, I was greeted by Dr Mehmet and his team and felt very reassured by the friendly and straight forward manner of the doctor. Clearly he has seen perhaps a million people in my position before, but I didn't feel for a second that I was just a number for him. He answered my questions with attention to detail and I felt respected and taken seriously. The process itself was uneventful and similar to that of others here writing reviews so I wont go into too much detail. I will however say that, once I was fully anesthetized (which was the only uncomfortable part of the whole experience lasting about one minute), it procedure was so pain-free that I slept about 4 out of its 9 hours. Of the three stages of the operation, the second part (which is also the most tricky and crucial part that will determine the quality of the operation) was performed by the Dr himself and I felt in very good hands. The first and final part of the procedure was a collaborative effort between the Dr and his two technicians.

It has been less than 2 weeks for me since the procedure and I have been following the after care program given to me by the Dr and I have had no trouble with pain or infection or anything. Obviously it is still too early for me to speak of "results" yet, but I give the service, treatment and after-care provided two big thumbs up and feel lucky to have fallen into the hands of a Dr who can be trusted for this operation which was obviously a big deal for me and something that seems almost like science-fiction before actually going there and doing it. But it really is achievable so don't be frightened if you are considering it also 😉

After several research I booked a clinic in Istanbul for them. Cheap price 2500 Euros per person all inclusive (hotel and transport) which was too good to be true. However, all three of us booked the flight. The night before departure I felt uneasy and started reading the reviews and found out that the clinic does more than 10 patients at a time with no doctor involvement. I immediately cancelled all the appointment with that clinic. I just had my procedure with Dr. Mehmet and I had an excellent experience. Dr. Mehmet and his staff are very professional and talented. The Dr. really took his time to make sure himself and I were both happy with the result. The cost to benefit ratio is outstanding. It costs half as much as it would in the US for a far better service. The cost also includes all of your post-op care. The cost of this alone would have been somewhere around 1,000 euro.
