This is how goCaution rental deposit insurance works
The tenant pays an annual premium to goCaution. In return, goCaution AG is liable for the amount of the rent deposit due to the landlord. However, rental deposit insurance should not be confused with liability insurance. Payments made by the insurance company on behalf of the tenant in the event of damage must be repaid.
So even though this type of deposit is called security deposit insurance, it differs from classic insurance.
