I’ve rarely met anyone who explains complex testing topics as clearly and thoroughly as Richard (Richie) Seidl. No boring PowerPoint presentations—just real-world examples from actual projects. What really stood out to me: Richie listens, asks the right questions, and tailors his content to the participants’ level.

That’s not something to be taken for granted. His content on test automation and AI in testing is well-founded, practical, and free of buzzword bingo. You can tell right away: this is someone who’s actively involved in projects himself. If you take software quality seriously, Richie is exactly the right person for you.

I truly enjoyed my conversation with Richard. It was relaxed, natural and very easy to follow. What impressed me the most was how effortlessly he combined a friendly, informal tone with deep expertise. In every question he asked and every topic we discussed, you could clearly feel his extensive experience and strong understanding of QA and testing practices.

I would definitely recommend Richard, not only for his knowledge and professionalism, but also for his ability to create a comfortable atmosphere that encourages meaningful and insightful discussions.

Not only has he worked for decades in a wide variety of roles in the field of software testing, but through his podcast and conference appearances, he has also gained an unparalleled overview of the industry. It is therefore entirely fitting that Richard was awarded the German Software Quality Award in 2025. I highly recommend him.

Talking to Richard was a true pleasure. He is not only one of the most respected professionals in the testing field, but also one of the most genuine and kind people you can meet. As a podcast host, he creates a space where conversations feel open and thoughtful. Being a guest on his podcast felt relaxed and meaningful at the same time. I have never experienced anyone who can bring so much fun and motivation to a subject. Theory is always a dry subject, but thanks to Richie, I had a lot of fun in the seminar and was also able to pass the exam successfully. In addition, the seminar and the way it was conducted motivated me to delve even deeper into software testing.
I'm looking forward to the next podcast and hope you come back to Schwerin sometime 🙂

Richard Seidl helped us a lot to get on the right track.
We held two workshops on test automation with him, in which he brought us competently, sympathetically and absolutely flexibly to a solution that suited us all. He does not work according to a prefabricated scheme, but reacts flexibly to what is happening and furthermore does not lose sight of his/our plan. He can deal with non-optimal starting conditions and pragmatically work out approaches. On a human level, the collaboration is equally enriching for all.
Through the ongoing coaching we are able to pursue our goals and get security and the right direction on the way.
We are very happy about the cooperation and are very pleased to be able to continue it.
I can only warmly recommend him!

I have the great pleasure of working with Richard.
Richard knows how to convey the most complex topics skillfully, sympathetically and, above all, understandably and also inspires with his expertise.
He doesn't just provide "dull" information on technical topics, but wraps up the world of digitization in modern and everyday topics.
