The Still Academy teaches osteopathy as holistic medicine. I have learned here not only osteopathic techniques and anatomical relationships, but - and I am most grateful for this - a holistic approach to the patient. The school attaches importance to the fact that we as osteopaths grasp the overall situation of the patient and, for example, also take psycho-emotional issues into account (psychology is also a subject taught). For this purpose, we have a lot of lessons on anamnesis.
In addition, we learn here to be truly independent and responsible therapists. There was always a lot of understanding for initial insecurities and the lecturers at Still, with their many years of experience as osteopaths, always supported us very personally and very passionately in finding our own identity and thus self-confidence as a therapist. At the same time, we were always clearly shown the limits and conventional medical background.
I am unbelievably happy to be able to learn osteopathy at Still and would never want to go to any other school, so the "shorter" training period is no longer an issue. Since I started here, I understand that osteopathy cannot be learned in this depth in four years.
