Stell Dir vor, Du wanderst aus und begegnest privat und beruflich Menschen, mit denen Du Dich ausschließlich in der Landessprache Englisch unterhalten kannst. Genau diese Situation simuliert Englischhausen täglich von 8:00 Uhr morgens bis 21:30 Uhr abends.

Hört sich anstrengend an? Erstaunlicherweise ist es das aber nicht!

Der Kurs ist hervorragend organisiert. Die einzelnen Stunden sind abwechslungsreich und kurzweilig, die Gesprächspartner sehr interessant und das Lernen funktioniert nebenbei. Wer also einen Kurs sucht, der dabei hilft, nach all der Schulgrammatik und dem Vokabeln lernen endlich das zu machen, worauf es bei Sprache ankommt, nämlich sprechen, der ist hier richtig aufgehoben. Absolut empfehlenswert!

It was the first time I took part in a language course and I haven't regretted it for a second. The week is both exhausting and extremely effective and instructive, and that's without any traditional lessons. It was enriching on all levels, from a language and a personal point of view.

Especially the individual conversations with different people from different countries make the whole thing so interesting.

The week is excellently organised and has a lot of variety.  I can only recommend it to everyone and will definitely take part again.

Dear English House Team,
I enjoyed the week in Laubach very much. I could almost implement the rule "no German" (except for a few phone calls). The approach with the native speakers from different countries is purposeful, that they contribute as volunteers is more than impressive. In addition to the reduction of inhibitions by simply speaking without any consequences, for me it was a development forward, the week was able to show the progress of the process. The (inter)cultural exchange and the patience and interest of participants and volunteers was profitable for all. Even if the linguistic progress is somewhat lost, the personal enrichment through getting to know dear people remains in addition to the positive memories.
A very special thanks goes to Sandra and Susanne for the organization and coordination on site, professional, patient and always there for us with joy and good humor.
Even if the price is very high (as a private payer) everything was good value for money in the sense that every minute was worth the price.

This is the second time I have participated in Englischhausen. Even though many things were familiar, everything was new. What made it new were the great characters of both the Angelos and the students. Great conversations, intensive discussions in English, which I was able to lead, even though I would never have dared to do so before. The feeling for language, the way of expressing oneself increases enormously and above all thinking in English becomes natural. You just talk without having to translate from German into English in your head.
Just like the first time, I can only say: English House is the perfect way to learn English and meet great interesting people. I will definitely check in to English Living for a third time.

Sandra and Susanne were outstanding, and the program was stimulating and fun with a purpose.
The students were wonderful and worked hard.

In the hotel, the only toiletries were a combined body wash + shampoo - no conditioner, lotion, shower cap, etc., which would be normal for a 4* hotel.
Beautiful area around the hotel. The excursion to see the castle and church was a chance for further conversation and vocabulary.
One thing that would be very helpful would be for the volunteers to be able to get to know one another ahead of time. Perhaps in this time of no Volunteer Reception, an hour or so at the venue would have gone a long way.
A thought: during the bus ride to the hotel, there was an opportunity to have the students and volunteers speak during the trip - one on ones - which was not taken.

Well, I needed my vaccine booster shot. Luke set it up for me in Laubach through the hotel owner. The hotel owner personally took me to the appointment and waited for me. Says enough!
