I wanted to get a taste of the world of blues and I can already play a few licks. The licks from this course weren't overly difficult to play, but the applications and above all the longer engagement with a topic made the course worthwhile for me. Boris' YouTube videos are a bit cooler now, but you can still take a lot away from them and I can only recommend that everyone really listen to the little solos at the end of the lessons, because there's still a lot going on, even if you can't see anything. But as Boris always says...trust your ear. Thanks, nice thing and for free.

The advanced blues course is really worth every penny. There's so much to learn that I don't even know what to write about it. The songs are really fun and by the end of the course they're already extremely challenging. Perhaps the sound could be a bit more stylish, but that would be my only criticism, as the examples were all recorded in a technically super authentic way. Boris is so likeable, it's really fun to draw on his experience as a guitarist. Even live, the guy is always belting out extremely cool licks and can still smile at the same time...I actually booked a live band workshop with him many years ago. That was a super brilliant weekend, I still remember what I learned there today. Super guy! My tip is: just try it out, there is also a right of exchange, which I never considered for a second.

I think the structure of the courses is great. Above all, you learn about improvisation right from the start. So you can stick strictly to the syllabus or experiment on your own. That way you get a quicker feel for the right rhythm and sound combinations. I can definitely recommend the courses.

A good introduction to the world of notation. I personally don't like screencasts, but Boris breaks it up a bit with examples on the guitar. All in all, I was able to learn a lot more (e.g. I had never understood the brackets before). The course is free, which is incredible, with over 1.5 hours of material. A successful preparation for the rhythm course, I can only recommend it to anyone, even if you think you already know it all, there were still points that were new to me.
I would have liked to have direct access to the entire learning content as I am very, very impatient. The 7 lessons are unlocked daily and that makes perfect sense, of course, but for me it was almost unbearable.

I have already gone through Blues Course 1 and what can I say? Thanks for this great advanced course, it's so much fun, I could start all over again. Boris has so much expertise, you can tell he has been teaching for many years and has played in many bands. The tips come from practice, not from the textbook. I have already bought the 3rd course, but first I have to internalize all the exercises from the 2nd course, otherwise it's just playing them again, which doesn't get me anywhere. Many great suggestions and ideas to really acquire what is shown. This calmness in the explanations helps me to really concentrate, many other teachers are too fast and hectic for me. Boris is calmness personified, great.
And when he gives "gas" (which he rarely does, since it's not about what he can do), you wonder why he's not famous...admirable. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I think it's great that you don't get everything thrown at you straight away, but get weekly lessons, which gives you time and peace to process everything well. For me it was a great start and I actually learned most of the licks by heart, normally I forget them quickly again. Great videos, great licks and all for free. Top!

I was skeptical about online courses for a long time. Is an online course even something for me? And if so, where can I find the right course among all the other courses on offer? Of course, tastes differ, but I would recommend Boris to anyone at any time. For me it is exactly the right thing! The structure is structured and coherent, Boris as an instructor is simply super (voice, tempo, comprehensibility). I knew that I had to and wanted to work on my rhythm playing. After a long time of letting it slide and against all prejudices against online courses, for me the best decision to go back to the basics with Boris' course. Here I can work individually as long and as often on the finer points when and to what extent I want, am funny and can. No pressure or stress because one week I could spend less time practicing and at the next appointment at the music school I actually only lose time and money because I'm not ready yet. Instead, 1x invested in the course and then repeat as often as you want or feel it necessary. Simply Top! Great concept! Big praise and big thanks.

Playing solo was/is my personal final opponent when it comes to "real" playing. If you don't know how to do justice to your bandmates without a score and due to a lack of creativity/experience, it quickly becomes embarrassing. In the end, you dare even less to just try something out and get better through try and error. This is where Boris comes in: His didactic approach is awesome. Voice and tempo are pleasant. Everything is taught from the ground up. You don't get overwhelmed and always have a safe framework in which you can try out and improve as long as you want (own tempo, own timing) I finally knew where to start in the first place and was able to develop and improve my solo playing really well. The visible progress motivates me, and continuing to work on my solo playing is finally fun. Thanks Boris

I don't usually write reviews, but in this case I can't help it. Boris really does a great job, would not have thought that you can learn so much and so well via an online course. Likeable guy who has a good idea of the subject matter and structures his courses well. I can only recommend.

I like the calm manner of Boris Karategin.
The exercises are short and can be practiced individually.
The theory is limited to the most necessary.

I bought the blues courses 1-3 a few days ago and am thrilled.
Good explanations great examples and if you need information is answered as soon as possible!
I can only recommend it.

The course is super. There is something for everyone. You can determine the pace of work, watch parts not immediately understood again, repeat videos as often as you like.... and that at a fair price. And you still have access to the material later. With a teacher, where every hour is charged, you spend a lot more.
So a clear buy recommendation.

After the free blues course I bought this one. I can say that has brought me neatly further. It is very instructive and really fun.

I am a beginner and have been playing electric guitar for about three quarters of a year now. Actually, I was just curious and tried the blues mini course. What can I say, it was a lot of fun and also brought me further. Afterwards I bought the Blues Course 1 which is also a lot of fun. Both thumbs up!

Small-step approach, detailed explanatory videos; you notice that Boris has many years of teaching experience. Boris does not want to show how fast HE can play everything, how good he is, but he strikes a tempo in his examples that is appropriate for beginners as well as guitarists with previous knowledge. Highly recommended!
