After I have wished in GDR times on the Elbe to drive once on the Elbe to Hamburg, I had read in November 22 in the SZ that such a trip was planned. A quick call brought first disappointment - all sold out - but the comfort of the waiting list. Then came the nice call. It works.
My wife and I were looking forward to the trip and many acquaintances, whom we told about it, were impressed. A great response.
On Maundy Thursday, 9.00 we started at the Terrassenufer. In 6 days we came via Meissen, Torgau, Wittenberg, Dessau, Magdeburg, Tangermünde, Wittenberge to Lauenburg. Here we changed ships and continued our journey to Hamburg on the Kaiser Wilhelm.
We traveled by ship and spent the night ashore. In places where we docked, city tours were usually organized. This allowed us to get to know the area better.
On the whole, it was a successful trip that can be recommended.
Many thanks to Mr. Hillmann and his team. Whether travel. City tours, hotel organization or even the transport of suitcases (if you arrived at the hotel in the evening, the suitcases were there and usually already in the room) everything worked out great. The enormous effort, so that it was a successful thing for us, can only be appreciated.
Thank you very much, it was a successful trip for us
