A Career Consultant from Step Advisors contacted me via LinkedIn because he found my profile interesting for a vacant position. Everything seemed very professional at the beginning. The first call took place quickly and a follow-up phone call was arranged in good time to finalize the profile the consultant had created about me for the client - a good first impression. From then on, however, communication unfortunately went downhill. Every time I tried to contact them, it took weeks before I received a response or an update. I often had to follow up twice. For example, I received a reply that I was on vacation, but strangely enough, no out-of-office note had been set for emails. Today it's been another four weeks since the consultant promised to get back to me in the coming week (i.e. 3 weeks ago). I will not follow up again. In the meantime, I contacted the company myself to find out about my application. I have received a rejection. Working with them is not recommended.
