I am very grateful to Marcel. Through his You Tube videos I came across his book, and then bought his video course to the book. Everything is very well explained and easy to follow. I also find Marcel very authentic and it is fun to train with his videos. So it is easy for me to train regularly with his videos. I also find it really good that he shows different training options in his videos. So I could train with a friend, but also alone. Maybe some people are put off by training with videos. I can only say that I find it great, and can definitely weiterempfeheln.

The book is very helpful because it makes it clear that the usual self-defense techniques (leverage techniques) will not work. It makes it clear that avoidance is the highest priority. And if that doesn't work, then only punching and kicking will help. An aggressive perpetrator can't just be turned away. Unfortunately, I had to painfully realize this myself a long time ago. However, the explanations of the techniques could be better, or it could be better illustrated with pictures. Otherwise, I find it a very successful book.

Good book for beginners who want to learn what is important to learn self-defense. Only it doesn't go deep enough in my opinion. The authors are more about understanding what is important for self protection and what is not.
As an advanced student, there was nothing new for me. Still, it was good for me to realize again what really matters in self-defense.

I bought the book "The most effective punches and kicks".
It is absolutely to the point. No mumbo jumbo and other useless stuff.
Marcel explains really well what matters and what works, and especially why it works that way.

I can only recommend everyone to take the time for this book.
You will not be able to defend yourself afterwards. But you will know what to do afterwards. The explanation of the technique with pictures could be a bit more precise. But that is my only criticism. But it also shows possibilities how you can train it with videos.
So download the book. It costs you nothing except time well spent.

I can definitely recommend the courses from Strongline Academy. Super explained and very sympathetic. But the most important thing that what he shows is simple and effective. Absolutely to the point.

I used to stand at the door for 6 years and do martial arts kickboxing for 13 years. I can only emphasize what he says and how he implements it. He knows what he is talking about. You certainly can not train everything alone optimally at home, but the tips and training options that he shows in his videos are really good and important.

I was actually just curious when I bought some programs. But must say that this was interesting even for me, and learned a few new things. Thanks for that and for the great courses.

The book is written very well and understandably. It's just a pity that Marcel Descy limits himself to the situation in a physical confrontation. He does briefly discuss de-escalation, but he could have described that in more detail. As a short advisor for self-defense but still good. If you have gotten into a physical altercation, then what Marcel Descy explains in this book is definitely the right thing to do. Unfortunately, I have also had my experience.

PS: You could have maybe described the techniques with more pictures. But I see this free e-book anyway more as a guide and not as a training tool. For that you have to go into training or use your programs.

So I think the book is good, but for me there are still some things too short. What the author writes makes perfect sense and is well explained. But he could have gone more into the avoidance of violence, even if the book title of course specifically addresses the punches and kicks. But for me, the avoidance is most important. Still, I absolutely think the author explained everything very comprehensibly, and why exactly these punches and kicks are so important to be able to defend yourself in a physical confrontation. In the end, of course, it's an e-book as a guidebook. And for that I find this e-book really successful.

Hello, I think online programs are useful if they are well done. But I must also say that I already have some experience in martial arts and sports. And your videos are well done.

If you really want to know what self-defense works on the street, you should definitely read this book. It doesn't cover the complete topic of self-defense, but as the title says, this book is about the most effective punches and kicks. And he explains very well why just that is so important. He wrote it very simple and understandable. And best of all, many important tips for free. At least I could download the book for free.

I have been doing martial arts for over 20 years and Krav Maga for 2 years. I also had 2 experiences on the street. Now about your programs/videos. You do a great job. You explain it very realistically, just like it is on the street. It is not a sport on the street. Accordingly, you have to act. And you show and explain that with your techniques just right. No unnecessary stuff, but immediately hit the most important targets, and then run away. I also find your knowledge videos great. Is a lot of theory, but very important to know.

The techniques are explained and demonstrated very well and objectively. The way of the trainer I find good and motivating. On the one hand clear and factual, but still very emotional. Absolutely credible.

I had no idea about self-defense, but everything that is shown makes sense. In any case, I now believe in myself much more, and know what to do if I get mugged. Unfortunately, I have been mugged before, and luckily nothing bad happened. But I don't want that to happen to me again. Thanks for this.

Hello Marcel, I always look forward to your videos. They are very real in structure, much like it really happens in life sometimes, unfortunately. I am a quiet defensive person. A woman who is not so fit anymore, but your training is very motivating and I always give it my all.
I know that feeling you once explained in a video. When a monster drives out of you. When you have to defend yourself from stronger ones, and it's a matter of life and death. I or he, that you emphasize again and again. If I had defended myself hesitantly and insecurely at that time, I would not be there anymore. It is nice to believe in good people, I continue to do so, but you must also be ready and realize that not everyone wants us only good.
