With the course instruction and the food.
A small suggestion for improvement: the “Quiet” pins—use magnets instead of pins so we don’t end up with holes in our clothes.
One criticism: Dorm Room 103: the shower was in terrible condition (please remove the mold) and the shower curtain was completely covered in mold (please replace it—it doesn’t cost much, after all). That was pretty gross.

I really liked that we had all our yoga classes with the seminar leader in our seminar room. That brought more calm to the whole daily routine. I was able to focus better on the seminar because I didn’t have to check the daily schedule to see which yoga classes were being offered and where I needed to go.

Having classes late in the evening after a long, eventful day was exhausting. I really enjoyed that we had so many classes outdoors. I’m taking a lot of great ideas back to my daily work. I also got to meet many nice people again, who really enriched the seminar.

It was a very inspiring week. I gained a lot of new insights. In a few instances, I would have liked to have had more theoretical instruction.
Yoga Vidya in Bad Meinberg is a special place. Here, I was able to experience a completely different way of life.
The educational leave was well worth it.

The training program is very well structured, and the seminar leader, Galit, is highly experienced in conveying a great deal of knowledge in a concise and lasting way in a short period of time. However, two satsangs a day is simply too much, while opportunities for group practice are somewhat neglected. For example, if we could practice in small groups for 2–3 hours in the evening instead of the satsang, that would be much more helpful for building confidence. After all, the goal is to be able to perform the massage by the end of the course.

There was no food! The few leftovers that were still available were inedible. Because of the food alone, I avoid Bad Meinberg and prefer other ashrams. I consider the vegan concept to be an insult to paying participants. Basically, you have to plan on eating out, which makes Bad Meinberg very unattractive in terms of cost.

It's always a dream to be at Yoga Video. It's a pleasure on all levels. Lovely people, great community, great program.
For me, this place is more than just a place to recharge. For me, it's a home. I have another idea on how to make this place even more beautiful. I would really like it if cell phones were only allowed to be used in the rooms. I sometimes find it disturbing to see other people using cell phones in the common areas. I am sure that some people would appreciate clear guidelines and enforcement of the rules, and that this would make the place even more attractive. I would also love it if the intermediate yoga classes were always like this. In some cases, they could be even more strenuous. I am looking forward to my next visit and am excited to see what changes will have taken place by then. Namaste, Felix
