We got us there a scale in whose description was that you can go there 2/5g but nowhere was deposited that the 5g steps start only from a certain kilo number. After inquiry one wanted to take care of it, after we were then informed that one could not make this setting and I then said, then I would like to send the scale back, one put on stubborn and said that does not work, you can not send a scale back. I then asked why you are not affected by the Distance Selling Act? I did not get an answer, then they said goodbye without further ado and hung up. Thank you for nothing, except a scale that you can not use.

thank you very much for your feedback! Unfortunately, we cannot assign your case, but we would like to answer you anyway:
The scale you purchased is probably a dual-range scale. This means that the scale has two digit step ranges over the entire weighing range. The digit step of 2 g is valid in the first weighing range of the scale up to (usually) 6 kg. From 6 kg, the scale becomes "coarser", i.e., the digit increment is then 5 g. A dual-range scale can be recognized by the slashes in the technical data and stickers on the scale in the max. weighing range and the numerical increments/calibration values.
It is therefore something very positive that the 5 g digit step range begins only from a certain number of kilograms, because the scale up to this number of kilograms more accurate/fine with 2 g resolves. This is then not a defect, but on the contrary a quality feature.
Regarding your question about distance selling: Distance selling only applies between private customers/consumers and companies. We generally do not sell to private customers/consumers and are therefore not subject to distance selling. This is visible both in our online store and in our terms and conditions / delivery conditions.
Perhaps you have confused us? Then we would be very happy about a retraction of the rating. If you have not confused us, then call us again. Then we can discuss your case and the dual-range function.
With kind regards
Dr.-Ing. Fabian Ehmke
