Melanie is the best. Her wonderful pieces of music and her way of teaching and understanding make all the difference.
I started learning piano with Beginner 1 and 2. Now I’m already playing Melanie’s pieces on the piano. I’m so happy to have “My Melanie.”

The course is explained clearly and is therefore very easy to understand. It's really fun.

I definitely recommend it! I learned to read music through 25 years of playing in a band. I took piano lessons as a child, but that fizzled out after 1–2 years. There was no joy in the sound there—just discipline, stress, and pressure to perform. But at almost 60, I want exactly that joy and simply “music for myself,” because in this life I don’t want to become a concert pianist or perform on stage… just enjoy the sound. I started with “Relaxing at the Piano” and it drew me in so much that I ordered “Chords & Pop Improvisation 1+2.” Haven’t started yet, but if it’s designed like the first course, I have no doubt it’ll be a success.... The “support” was also great when something technical didn’t go quite right....

I’ve taken several of Melanie’s courses. I highly recommend every single one. I’m impressed by her well-thought-out approach. She explains things clearly and concisely, no matter the subject matter. The only thing you have to do is practice, practice, practice the material so you can put it to good use. You can always go back and review everything in black and white in the accompanying handout.

The course is very well structured and organized. It covers fundamentals such as chords, inversions, and the circle of fifths, which are essential for eventually mastering free playing. The mnemonic devices and mnemonics are excellent learning aids, and the learning steps are easy to follow. I would definitely recommend this course.

I’m absolutely thrilled with it, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to take their piano playing to the next level or who wants to really grasp the basics and practice!

A very systematic and detailed introduction to the individual topics;
clear demonstrations of the various concepts on the piano keyboard that are easy to follow;
an equally “imaginative” and ingenious presentation of the different types of triads in “zoological” categories; in particular, the somewhat more challenging chords associated with pandas and desert animals have really stuck with me thanks to this approach.
Overall, I was left with a very positive impression thanks to the warm and empathetic manner of piano teacher Melanie.
After completing the first course, I definitely plan to take the “Chords and Pop Improvisation II” course in a few months.

The "Chords & Pop Improvisation 2" course is the perfect complement to the first course ("Chords & Pop Improvisation 1").
Everything you learned in the first course is expanded upon and explored in much greater depth here.

A very well-structured course with helpful, easy-to-remember learning aids. The practical exercises are broken down clearly and guide you step by step. With textbooks, I used to struggle because the leap from theory to practice felt too big for me. Here, I’m guided through the material excellently in small steps. What I’ve learned also makes it easier to play pop songs from sheet music.
The course is very helpful to me, even with my 5 years of piano experience.

The tutorial is always motivating and cheerful; Melanie never loses her patience ;) Her enthusiasm for music is contagious. A life without relaxed piano playing is possible, and it can even be meaningful, but it brings neither joy nor fulfillment.

Learning piano with Melanie excites me because her teaching method really speaks to me. Visual imagery makes it easier even for me, a retiree, to finally give it another try. She clearly and concisely explains what needs to be learned, just like the basics of arithmetic. That helps me stay motivated. For me, it’s a revelation to finally understand how chords are constructed. I still have to pause for a moment to figure out whether I’m dealing with a koala or a desert animal (these associations are wonderful), and then it clicks. I’m thrilled and can only recommend it, no matter what (negative) past experiences you’ve had. It’s explained superbly from an educational standpoint (I know what I’m talking about—I used to be a special education teacher).
