In 1999, Marilyn Petersen opened LOOKS after working as a stylist for about twenty years. She worked for several salons and came away from each with ideas for how a salon should be run.
Our mission statement became "Comfortable Elegance," and I think we achieved our goal of making our clients feel very pampered in a beautiful space.

In 2011, we moved the salon to a larger 10,000 square foot space. It allowed us to grow and to create an elegant atmosphere for our clients, as well as the staff.
