I’ve learned a lot for free from Melanie on her YouTube channel over a long period of time. I think she’s so great that I’ve now purchased one of her courses and have already learned a lot from it as well. As for practicing—well, unfortunately, she can’t do that for me. 😇I’m sticking with it. She explains things very clearly, and I think she’s very hardworking. That’s my impression.❤️

An excellent course for beginners to teach themselves to play the piano step by step—and, above all, presented in a way that’s ideal for learning. From the highly professional production of the videos (illuminated keys, lighting, sound) to the very charming piano teacher Melanie and her invaluable learning tips. I’ve already purchased several other courses of this kind, but Melanie’s has been the best so far! I highly recommend it!

I just wanted to share some feedback on "Pop Improvisation Part 1." I’m a complete beginner when it comes to the piano, and at the “advanced” age of almost 60. I grew up with no exposure to music—none of my relatives play an instrument, I can’t sing myself, I can’t read sheet music, and I can’t even dance. So, not exactly ideal starting conditions. My goal isn’t to become a pianist. I just want to be able to strum around on a piano, and I want it to sound like music. After several months of self-study on YouTube—where you end up wasting most of your time watching videos and, as a result, practicing very little, especially not the things that matter—I signed up for Melanie’s course. And I have to say, Pop Impro 1 is an absolute home run for people who want to create beautiful music on the piano without sheet music. This isn’t about painstakingly memorizing 1, 2, or 3 songs on the piano; instead, you’ll learn the skills to play countless songs by mastering the real fundamentals that you’ll use over and over again. The whole thing is sensibly structured and explained very clearly. That said, this course naturally also requires personal dedication. Getting chords and their inversions into your head and under your fingers takes hard work and time, but this course is an extremely effective way to reach that goal relatively quickly. If you stick with it, you’ll have the most important fundamentals for playing the piano freely in your head and in your fingers. And learning and playing new songs suddenly becomes so easy, because you already know everything you need....

Thanks to this course, I feel like I’m finally starting to understand how to play the piano—and especially how chords are structured. This makes playing much more fun for me, and learning is much easier. I hope that someday I’ll really be able to play my favorite songs without having to struggle through sheet music anymore. Melanie’s mnemonics for learning chords are very helpful, and the course is structured really well from a teaching perspective. The lessons are short and effective. There’s plenty of material for practice. I’m currently on Module Three and am excited to see how it continues.

The course is very well structured. The individual modules are just the right length, so practicing is always fun and you can really feel yourself making progress. I also really like the mnemonic devices—they make learning easier for me personally. The course always feels a bit like having a piano teacher sitting right next to you.

I wholeheartedly recommend Melanie and her YouTube channel, “Learn Piano with Melanie.” I’ve already purchased several of her courses and use them regularly. The courses are excellently structured, easy to follow, and a lot of fun.
