Improv 2 is a successful continuation of Impro 1. Exactly what I had been hoping for.
A very well done explanation of the chords with suitable exercises to consolidate them. So that you gradually understand the connections and can also experiment very well yourself.
Improvisation 1 was already very instructive for me and this course will be just as good.

Melanie you have great ideas and well explained it is just right for me thank you!!!

I think the videos are really well made and I enjoy them and they make me want to experiment a bit myself. So the educational approach is fulfilled.

Beautiful exercise instructions

It's great that the very detailed and descriptive explanations with the keyboard are always accompanied by the sheet music.
The chords form a beautiful bass line for new melodies that simply start to flow once the first hurdles have been overcome.
You can also make your own additional changes, for example to adapt the suggested patterns to your own hand size, or to incorporate more inversions, or minor parallels...
Melanie has opened a door, both for myself and for listeners, who then like to imitate what they hear;)

Dear Melanie, once again a great and informative video from you. Your videos are very helpful for me and also a lot of fun. Admittedly, one or two things are still too much of a hurdle for me, but so what...... People grow with their tasks. So unknot your fingers, loosen the cramp in your left hand and move on. However, I have found one drawback to your videos and your friendly manner - my normal paper-based piano lessons are gathering dust. Learning to play the piano with you is just so much more fun. I was already more than enthusiastic about the "Chords & Pop Improvisation 1" course. It was therefore an absolute must for me to buy the continuation course as well. This course is again a real "bull's eye". Melanie has a very special way of teaching: she conveys all the necessary knowledge in an extremely competent, mega-sympathetic and extremely creative way and her enthusiasm for music is absolutely infectious. It's great fun to learn and practise with her. The handbook is also great, as it complements all the lessons and provides wonderful support for learning. I am older and started playing the piano a few years ago. I was lucky enough to have a very good piano teacher who taught me the basics such as chords, inversions, cadences etc.. Melanie's tutorials have brought me (a newcomer, 3 months ago completely without improv knowledge) rapidly forward.
I particularly like her individual melodies. I find the keyboard presentation excellent and often an appealing exercise guide is already provided on your YouTube channel for printing out. This makes practical implementation a breeze. This means that learning is not just a flash in the pan, as has been the case elsewhere. Thanks to Melanie!!! I am now playing and juggling with the improvisation courses 1 and 2 and am over the moon. I would like to give Melanie's improv courses 1 and 2 more than 5 stars, also for the price!
