We chose Tratson based on our own research because we were looking for a Swiss solution that didn’t require any modifications to the water lines. Our main problem was limescale stains in the bathroom and on the kitchen faucet. At first, I was curious to see if it would make any difference at all. Over time, it became clear: The limescale doesn’t disappear, but it doesn’t stick as aggressively. That makes cleaning easier.

For me, the amount of maintenance required was a key factor. I didn’t want a system that required constantly refilling salt or checking settings. That’s why Tratson sounded interesting, but I remained cautious. Today, I can really see an improvement, especially with the coffee maker and the sink. The deposits haven’t magically disappeared, but they’re much easier to clean.

Für mich war der Wartungsaufwand ein entscheidender Punkt. Ich wollte keine Anlage, bei der man ständig Salz nachfüllen oder Einstellungen kontrollieren muss. Tratson klang deshalb interessant, aber ich blieb vorsichtig. Besonders bei der Kaffeemaschine und am Spülbecken sehe ich heute eine Verbesserung. Die Beläge sind nicht weggezaubert, aber deutlich angenehmer zu reinigen.

Wir wohnen in einer Gegend mit hartem Wasser. Früher musste ich die Duschwand sehr regelmässig mit starkem Reiniger behandeln. Bei Tratson gefiel mir, dass die Lösung im Boilerraum montiert wird und danach einfach läuft. Die Veränderung kam eher schrittweise. Der Kalk bleibt sichtbar, aber er wirkt weniger festgebacken. Dadurch bleibt das Bad länger gepflegt.

Gerade bei hartem Wasser zeigt sich der Unterschied im Alltag oft an den kleinen Dingen: Kalk lässt sich leichter entfernen und Bad und Dusche bleiben mit weniger Aufwand gepflegt. Our plumber suggested Tratson as an alternative to a traditional water softener. It was important to us that the calcium and magnesium remain in the water. I didn’t judge the results right away, but observed them for some time. The deposits in the bathroom are less stubborn now. Especially on the faucets, a quick wipe is often all it takes. That makes a big difference in our daily lives.

I was skeptical at first because we’d already tried various limescale removers. What convinced me was that Tratson works without salt and doesn’t incur any ongoing costs. I really notice the difference in the kitchen. Limescale still builds up in the kettle, but it dissolves more easily and doesn’t look as crusty anymore. For us, it was the rain showerhead that always annoyed me. After showering, water droplets would linger, and later everything looked spotty. Tratson was recommended to us by friends. We weren’t expecting miracles. The limescale is still there, but the residue feels less stubborn. Cleaning requires less effort, and you can really tell the difference.

We wanted to better protect our water heater and pipes in the long run without using salt or chemicals. That’s why we took a closer look at Tratson. I wasn’t sure if you’d even notice a difference in everyday use. Now, with the chrome fixtures, you can see that the limescale doesn’t stick as firmly. It’s easier to wipe away than to scrub off. That works very well for us.
