I also turned to GR with confidence in December 2021 after reading the online advertisement "Check your claims against VW now for a free assessment".
After I was initially confirmed to have a very high chance of success, all the necessary documents were sent to GR via the Internet.
The assumption of costs by my legal expenses insurance posed no problem.
After two years in November 2023, the case was lost.
As the court only made false statements in the grounds for the judgment, e.g. that I had used the vehicle commercially and sold it in December 2023, etc., I pointed this out to GR in writing. These OFFENSIVE ERRORS were ignored by the GR, despite my written notification!!!!!!
Instead, two days before Christmas, a letter was sent to my legal expenses insurance company asking whether the costs of an appeal would be covered.
The date given was 15.01.2024.
Well, you know how it goes. Christmas, New Year's Eve.... Vacation time.
So I received several requests for "we need your help". But even I couldn't do much during this time, so that at the same time as the deadline expired on 15.01.2024, my legal expenses insurance refused to cover the costs of the appeal due to a lack of prospects of success.
Under these circumstances, it is understandable that I am not willing to bear the costs myself!
If a law firm is not even in a position to challenge a judgment that is wrong from start to finish, I wonder what the point is. I don't need a lawyer for that.
THANKS FOR TWO WASTED YEARS AND THANKS FOR NOTHING!

Thank you for your feedback. As we do every year, at the end of the year we check for all our clients whether there are any issues in our files that are critical to the statute of limitations. This includes our clients' claims for which we make recommendations for action if they are in danger of becoming time-barred, as well as any fee claims that are still outstanding and also threatened by a limitation period.
These are legal fees that have either not been billed in full or have not been paid in full.
Yours sincerely
