We got to know Rolf Eckel as a director of the "old school", when film material was still precious.
He doesn't just "shoot" and cut the scenes afterwards, but clarifies and thinks about exactly what he wants to say beforehand. He spends a lot of time on this, with the result that almost every meter of film is usable and versatile.
In his filming he is helped by his great experience and a very special talent to feel extraordinary moments, to capture them emotionally and also visually and to implement them in his filming. His films tell stories with pictures.
During preparatory talks and discussions, Rolf Eckel was always somewhat taciturn -
because while we were talking, the film was obviously already running in his head - with then in all cases always great results.
Our foundation was also able to benefit from his strong social commitment - for one year, Rolf Eckel accompanied a "dance project of inclusion" during rehearsals in schools, many interviews with the "dancers", musical contributors as well as celebrities and the premiere in front of a sold-out house.
