Everything that was promised was kept by the "system" Aqua blue. Initial situation in our case: Wiesbaden-Schierstein, 5-family house (built in 2017), total water consumption approx. 460 cbm / year, water hardness (according to supplier WLW in our house) 16.7 -19.4 degrees dH. Before installing Aqua blue, the faucets in the bathroom and kitchen were decalcified. Also the water boiler. With our water hardness, this had to be done quite frequently up to that point (about 1 x per week) and then with descaler. After the installation, the descaling intervals are much longer (about every 2 weeks and it is actually enough to use a microfiber cloth (I use a microfiber / bamboo fiber cloth from dm) for cleaning. Descaler is now rarely necessary. The kettle has been "decalcified" for 2 months only by quickly wiping it out with my fingers. The lime is actually considerably "softer" than before and accordingly much, much easier to remove. The way it works is already a mystery to me as a chemist with a PhD, but it works. And yes, I haven't been lugging home water bottles of still mineral water from the store for a good 2 months now. The water really tastes much fresher (looks clearer, too) than before the installation and is now not one bit worse tasting than the still water from the beverage store. At least for us (with the specified water hardness) the "system" works excellently and the other families in the house unanimously report very similar experiences. This also quickly took the discussion in the house about purchasing a "conventional" (and very expensive) water softening system off the table. I recommend all interested parties and skeptics to accept the test offer. After all, the "installation" does not require any invasive intervention in the water pipe system and the 30 days of testing are without risk. If it does not work, it will be sent back. After the positive experience with drinking water, I have also installed an Aqua blue for the heating water circuit (in our case a Wolf 50 kWh gas boiler) and hope (unfortunately I will only know for sure at the next heating maintenance appointment in January 2023 when the heat exchanger element is decalcified) that it will also help to keep the limescale "soft" there.
