Klinik am Seestern Düsseldorf

I had an appointment at the clinic for a consultation regarding my lipedema, and I really want to leave a review, even though I haven’t had any surgery there yet. The reason is that this was the first time I truly felt taken seriously during an examination of my lipedema.
Dr. Witt was very friendly and professional from the start, while also being incredibly pleasant and approachable. He took an extraordinary amount of time to examine me thoroughly and answered all my questions in detail. He is incredibly respectful and explains realistically what could be done and how the entire process would unfold.
I particularly appreciated that there was never a rushed or uncomfortable atmosphere. I never felt like I was being “rushed through” or under time pressure. Instead, the entire atmosphere was calm, relaxed, and trusting.
Dr. Witt was very dedicated; photos were taken of the affected areas, and every possible treatment was explained clearly. Dr. Witt explained everything in detail, yet never came across as complicated or distant. Although he is an absolute specialist in his field, I always felt I could speak openly and ask any question. It felt more like I had been a patient there for a long time.
It was also particularly important to me that at no point did I feel pressured into having surgery. At this point, it’s not even clear whether I’ll go through with the surgery at all, and yet I was taken incredibly seriously and treated with respect. That is exactly what built a great deal of trust for me.
I also definitely want to give a shout-out to the receptionist, Marris. She was super polite, had a very pleasant and calm demeanor, and immediately put me at ease. Even though it was almost 5 p.m. and the end of the workday was approaching, she was incredibly friendly to me and didn’t seem annoyed or stressed at all. It’s little things like that which make a huge difference to me personally and further reinforced my positive overall impression of the practice.
The practice itself is also absolutely impressive. It is extremely modern, high-quality, and stylishly furnished. You feel more like you’re entering a luxury hotel than a traditional doctor’s office. Everything feels very well thought out, calm, and professional.
The organization surrounding the appointment was also excellent. Even before the appointment, communication was always very friendly, quick, and professional. Questions were answered immediately, and the entire process seemed perfectly organized. I was also allowed to park in the clinic’s parking lot, which was a huge relief since everything in the surrounding area was completely full.
Although it was already late in the afternoon, Dr. Witt even personally made sure that my question about costs was looked into internally. Shortly after I left the office, all the information arrived via email. This also simply shows how professional and dedicated the staff is there.
Overall, an exceptionally positive experience—the kind you unfortunately rarely encounter in the medical field. Absolutely fabulous.

Everything was great, just a small note... We didn't get any dinner/bread in the evening. The most important thing for me was the surgery and everything surrounding it.

After I registered online, you wanted confirmation twice that I was actually coming. Once by phone on February 3 at 1:53 p.m. and once by email on January 29 at 10:06 a.m. Very unusual. Then, at my appointment, I first had to fill out a questionnaire. If I had been told in advance that I should bring my medication plan with me, it would have been much easier for me. I certainly don't have the five pills I have to take every day in my head. The bottom line is that it was not good and there was no result. Sincerely, Heinz Schäfer

I received an incredibly warm welcome and excellent advice. The consultation took place on an equal footing and without any technical jargon, and what I liked best was that they focused on the best treatment for my needs rather than what would earn the practice the most money. I took a week to think it over, but actually the decision to go with the clinic was made much more quickly.

It's a shame that you can't take anyone with you to the consultation. It's also not nice to have to say this on the spot, as the accompanying person has taken the extra time to come along and then has to wait in the waiting room. My request to bring the person with me was also refused.

I had a consultation and felt that I was taken seriously and understood. They took a lot of time for me and the examination and consultation were very comprehensive. Ultimately, the treatment is too expensive for me, so I won't be able to have it done.
