My name is Julia, I've been working as a VA for a year and I love to design. I am a career changer and learning from scratch. After various design courses it is sometimes difficult to keep an overview of the individual lessons. Especially using the graphic programs like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator are a challenge for me. I have a design in my head, but it is still difficult for me to implement it.
The content of the DESIGN guides is very nicely prepared and offers wonderful step by step instructions. I find this particularly attractive, because it allows me to better understand individual steps and look again. In the past, I wrote down such steps myself, which cost me a lot of time. Having such a compact guide is very practical and so I can better focus on learning the actual skills.
The examples are wonderfully broken down into individual segments and I was able to quickly reproduce some of the examples. The designs, especially the cross sections, helped me train my visual eye and take in new perspectives. For the typography, I would have liked some more examples of fonts that combine well and why. I found the mutations to be very concise and simply explained. I really like the illustration of how to define client goals and the party invitation example. For me as a career changer, this transparent presentation from the customer order to the final result helps me to ask myself the right questions and thus come closer to the idea of the final design. From my point of view, this approach is talked about far too little for beginners and therefore I am very glad that you have included this in your DESIGN guide.
For me the guide is an absolute support and I will use it for my projects in the future. Thanks for the great preparation!
